Mehrsprachige Wissenschaft und europäische Identität: Die Rolle des Deutschen als Wissenschaftssprache / Multilingual science and European identity: The role of oral academic German
Organiser Ylönen, Sabine
U of Jyväskylä · Finland
Even though English has become the lingua franca in scientific publishing we assume that oral skills play a more important role for mobile students and academic staff and are a prerequisite for participating in depth in academic discourse in a German-speaking country. A project to explore the role of German language in academic discourse will be presented.
