Philharmonic Essen

Thanks to the top-class programme, the latest technology and perfect acoustics, a concert house has been created in this traditionally rich hall which rates with the best in Europe. The heart of the house is the completely renovated Alfried Krupp Hall which seats 1,906. The RWE pavilion, which seats 350, ensures a perfect view of the city garden due to its glass cube design. It offers perfect conditions for jazz and classic, world music and recitals, receptions or celebrations. Since reconstruction, the three colourful citizens’ halls gleam once again in their former glory with fine satinwood, enamel wood inlay and ceramic treasures which were once again discovered behind shabby wallpaper.
